On Saturday, May 23, Bro. Albert Welborn passed away as a result of a heart attack.

Please continue to keep Sis. Carole and the family in your prayer for the days and weeks that are ahead!

If all goes a planned, this Thursday, May 28, our church will purchase another vacant parcel of land that is adjacent to our current location.

God continues to show us His plan for the future and I’m excited to be a part of it!

Please keep praying for your church and your pastor that I’ll be all God has called me to be!

To All:

Earlier this year, I presented my vision to a Sunday Morning congregation.

This vision included the opening of a Christian Academy and Childcare facility.

In April, we filed our special exception application with Orange County Gov’t.

Earlier this month we conducted a community meeting – a meeting which invited our neighbors to come out to discuss our vision.

Next month (June 4), we will have out time before the Orange County Zoning Board.

I’m excited about what God is doing at Ocoee COG!

On Mother’s Day, we began revival with Rev. Steve and Susan Thomas!

The week flew by and many were touched during the week!

In addition to revival services, our children’s directors (Michael and Shelley Adams) conducted a Children’s Crusade for ages 3-11. The average attendance for the children’s crusade was 25!

The presence of God showed up  in each service in a mighty way!

What a week it was!!!

On Saturday, May 2, our church hosted it’s Mother’s Banquet.

The afternoon was a very special event – including a full meal and guest speaker Sis. Pamela Wooten from Jacksonville, FL.

There were a total of 72 in attendance!

Mother’s Day Service 2009 @ Ocoee Church of God was fantastic!!!

The day consisted of a combined worship service (English and Hispanic Congregations) along with special guests Rev. Susie Thomas and the Ambassador Youth Choir from Riverdale, Cal.

The choir again was wonderful and Sis. Thomas preached an oustanding message!

I’m thankful for all of the mothers in our church!

On Saturday, May 9, our church was honored to host the “Ambassador Youth Choir” from Riverdale, CA.

It was a wonderful night – the choir was outstanding.

The choir recharged my vision to operate a Christian Academy as a ministry of our church!

I’ve already spoken to the leaders of the choir about returning next year!

This Saturday, May 9, our church will host the Ambassador Youth Choir from Riverdale AOG in Riverdale, California.

This 55 voice Youth Choir is on their Florida tour – and I’m excited that they are stopping by the Ocoee COG.

Service Time on Saturday will be 6pm.

Come out for a great time!
